I've been getting ready for...

The lovely Dawna at Aroka Vintage is celebrating her grand opening with a Market Sale!
Come visit and see all of the creative vendors.

Don't forget to go to Aroka & La La's Land at Home
facebook pages.

Besides neat vintage wares for sale you can rent props for your wedding or event.
How cool is that?

I say VERY!

Here are some images from a recent photo shoot for
Aroka styling and vintage props.

A Day at Red Door Farm

I found the neatest little farm in Langley one day.
I had never heard of it before...

Red Door Farm
I read they were having a vintage sale.
Count me in!
I took my mum and headed over to this farm.
I wondered what it would be like.

What a surprise.
It was so peaceful and charming.

Here are some pictures.

This is the first stop at the front gate.
A lovely raised herb/vegetable garden.

Charming tea cup bird feeders
are found all over the property.

Beautiful raised herb/veggie garden.

For sale!
Fresh herbs and oils and salsas.

Down the windy path past the ladders,
metals pendant lights,
old iron press and lots of other antiques.

Did I mention
this is a Christmas tree farm too?

Pretty vintage linens

Garden tools and enamelware.

Free range eggs.

A baby chick.
I love the little noises they make.

just a little further now...
almost there.

The Red Door shop.

Love this old signage.

Very cozy.

Pretty grouping.

Stellar Jay nest on vintage cake stand.

Great old windows added to the shop.

Hand sewn laundry bags.

Egg cups and egg cozies!

Antique wicker.

Happy shoppers.

What a great time we had.
You can find Red Door Farm on facebook.

Thank you "C" for a wonderful Saturday.

See you soon,

Shopping in Santa Monica

The weather up here is so grey and wet.
I wish I was back in California.
Here are some pics of shopping in warm, dry, sunny L.A.

On the way a quick visit to the beach.

 White

Pink

Blue

Orange

The buildings were neat and the colours so vibrant.
You can't tell from my overexposed shots but trust me.

Next stop.

Rachel's signature union jack pillows.

Loved this pink dresser!

Baby garlands made from fabric scraps.

More lovely bedding.
Son many choices.

I was so impressed with these hanging shades.
They were just like over scaled hoop skirts.

 A little pink chair.
I think I have one of these in the barn.

Lovely chandelier but just look at the tin ceiling!

...and here

This was a stunning chandelier.
The shop was simple yet there was so much to look at.

A globe with a vintage floral garland wrapped around it.

These doors were huge. Simply leaning behind a white slip covered sectional.

Poufs.

Vintage laundry hamper with removable liner.

This was a beautiful embellished "opera" mask with pink ostrich feathers.

A two hour drive from Palm Desert but well worth it.
The shop had the scent of vanilla candles and was relaxed and fresh.
Very inspiring.

There's one off of my bucket list.

Thank you to the girls at the shop who let us take photos to remember.
